What happened to the tree that was supposed to keep Jadis away from Narnia? and also, if Aslan made the world, what was the deal with that 'emperor beyond the sea' thing?

I've always wondered that too. Maybe the witch had people chop it down for her. Does anyone else have any theorys?
As for the Emperor Across the Sea, I always assumed it was Aslan in a different form. If Aslan was a picture of Christ, like many believe, he would have to obey a higher power. This power was the Emperor. Aslan came to earth, and was the Lord of Narnia, but he was also under his own laws. Maybe the Emperor is supposed to be like God the Father, who Jesus obeyed when he was on earth. Also, in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Aslan takes the form of a lamb, and he also takes the form of a cat, in "The Hors and His Boy." Why shouldn't he take the form of an Emperor?
These are just my ponderings. It would be great to hear other's opinions!

I've always thought that Alsan was Jesus and the Emperor Beyond the Sea was God the Father.
I'm not entirely sure about the tree, though. Maybe it lost its potency over time? But that would be very odd... I'll have to re-read that part and see.
| The new [Narnia] was a deeper country: every rock and flower and blade of grasslooked as if it meant more. I can't describe it any better than that: if you ever get there, you will know what I mean. |

Well, I guess it was because LWW was written first. But I don't think the Witch killed it. If Aslan said she wouldn't come near it then she wouldn't.

Where would the Witch have gotten that little "all traitors belong to me" thing though? Since if Aslan is the Emperor, then why would he give her power?
